Why Compass

From our collective experience as lawyers and managers in the private, public and non-profit sectors, we view organizations, as well as individuals working outside of formal organizations, as organic systems. We can guide you and your organization through creating a unique compass anchored in Nexus (linking relevant factors with core objectives), Synergy, Efficacy and Wisdom to define and inform intention and activity in service of personal and organizational goals.

Our Story

With more than 50 collective years as lawyers with practices in transactions and litigation; managerial experience in a variety of public, private and non-profit organizations; teaching and training lawyers, corporate groups and others across multiple domains, each of us reached a point in our respective careers where we realized that something was missing in terms of our professional lives.

In 2015, we found ourselves as students at the University of Pennsylvania, enrolled in the Masters in Applied Positive Psychology program. We immediately connected and began to explore the sources and nature of wellbeing in the workplace as well as the individual and organizational structures and approaches to scaffold building careers and enterprises that promote engagement, meaning, connectivity and purpose.

We created Compass Consultants with the intention of integrating years of practical experience with best practices and cutting-edge research to introduce and operationalize a strengths approach to amplify interpersonal skills, support leadership cultivation, promote workplace engagement and develop creative yet practical solutions to move organizations and their employees forward.
